Started the implementation of the project: Higher education in Central Asia

From October 15, 2016 in TAU named after Sh. Shotemur, in cooperation with the Erasmus+ programmed, started the implementation of the project: "Higher education in Central Asia: the system of food standards," No 574005-EPP-1-2016-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.

In implementation of this project involves 7 higher education institutions from the EU and Central Asia: Latvia University of agriculture; Lithuanian University of health Sciences; Warsaw University of life Sciences; Tajik agrarian University named after Sh. Shotemur; Khujand Polytechnic Institute of Tajik Polytechnic University; Kyrgyz state technical University; Kyrgyz economic University, as well as 3 non-governmental associations of small enterprises dealing with processing of fruits and vegetables: National Association of Small and Medium Business of the Republic of Tajikistan; Kyrgyz Association of Fruit and Vegetables Enterprises and the Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA).

The main objectives of the project – modernization of higher education to implement the food production and implementation of standards for food safety in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, and eventually to increase the export potential of small and medium-sized food enterprises.

In the framework of the project includes: conducting training teachers of European universities on the subjects: the System of standards and HACCP system of food safety standards of vegetable origin; exchange of experience of Central Asian teachers of special education literature.
