In recent years, our university’s cooperation with higher educational institutions of foreign countries has been aimed at enhancing the development of cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture, and attaining scientific and technical progress. The international cooperation of the university, which has expanded significantly over the last decade, is a key factor in the entry of our university into the world educational space for active implementation: innovation in the educational process, conducting breakthrough research, increasing student and teaching mobility.
The department of management of international activities of Tajik Agrarian University named after Shirinshoh Shotemur is expressed in the implementation of the main points of the Work Plan based on instructions and orders of the Government of Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Academic Council of the University. According to signed international agreements and memorandum of cooperation between universities, international conferences, symposia, forums, educational and joint research projects are held. Conducting and participating in these events provided an opportunity for university scholars, students, masters and graduate students to become better acquainted with the achievements of our time, to share their acquired skills and experience.
For its recent history, TAU named after Sh. Shohtemur has accumulated a wealth of international experience, has won international recognition due to its high places in the world's leading international rankings of universities. University’s achievements cause great interest in our educational programs. The development of partnerships with leading universities in the world is one of the priorities of international cooperation. The university has 130 bilateral agreements with universities and research organizations from 25 countries. The university attaches great importance to teaching mobility: leading foreign teachers and practitioners are actively involved in the learning process, who make a significant contribution to the expansion of theoretical knowledge and professionalism.
On the basis of bilateral agreements in the framework of Projects and Programs of higher educational institutions of foreign countries, 87 teachers and 113 students, masters (88 students, masters completed practical training in the Russian Federation and Germany, 70 graduates are trained in the magistracy, took part in international conferences, symposia, forums, joint research projects, short courses, continued training, passed production practice in Europe and Asia. When using the new information technology - skype-was held on 550 international, scientific and educational conferences, methodological seminars and lectures on various problems 4 international Olympiads were organized and held. In 2002, the International Organization, the department of international cooperation of the university for decent work in the field of international relations was awarded the golden statuette "The Era of Quality" was awarded the international award "BEST UNIVERSITY" - "BEST UNIVERSITY" for achievements in professional work, for the best indicators of 2016 following their criteria are: accessibility of education, quality of educational services, professionalism of the teaching staff, degree of university accreditation, level of technical equipment, participation in international educational programs, as well as in exchange programs, prospects for international cooperation.
In turn, on March 28, 2017, Rector of the University, Professor Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo was awarded the title of “BEST MANAGER OF THE YEAR” - “BEST TOP MEHEDGER OF THE YEAR”. In the same years, with the assistance of the EDNET training center, CARANA, USAID corporations, the department received books on economics and business, textbooks and journals from SOROS, FAO organizations that were donated to the university libraries. The Department of International Relations signed an agreement with the Aga Khan Foundation on the development of long-term payments for the training of students from among the citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and on the use of computer classes through the “Business Center” organization. From 2010 to 2016 alone, more than 300 teachers from the ERASMUS, ERASMUS + program participated in international conferences, symposia, internships, training courses and retraining. At present, the main purpose of bilateral agreements is to improve the educational process on the basis of scientific, educational and methodological developments; studying and introducing the experience of leading university teachers; expanding and strengthening cooperation, improving the quality of faculty activities, administration workers, graduate students and students; ensuring two-way awareness of the organization’s activities through the media.
